Chhattisgarh Kisan Nyay Yojana Registration
A provision of Rs. 5,700 crore was made in the state budget presented by the Government of Chhattisgarh on 2020-21 giving relief to farmers through which Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyaya Yojana 2020 (Rajiv Rajiv Gandhi Nyay Yojana) was launched in the state. In this government scheme, the farmers will be given an input amount of Rs. 10000 per acre of paddy and maize crop in installments. The Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyaya Yojana (CG Mukhyamantri Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana) will also help the central government’s dream of doubling farmers ‘ income by 2022.

About 70 per cent of the population in the State of Chhattisgarh is dependent on agriculture. As a result, farmers are not able to invest enough in agricultural inputs such as improved seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, mechanization and new agricultural technology due to increase in weather adversity and agricultural input cost due to rain based rainfall. “Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyaya Yojana has been implemented by the State Government for agricultural input assistance to provide adequate investment in agriculture and relief in cost of cost.
Under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyaya Yojana, sugarcane crops have been included in kharif season paddy, maize, soyabean, groundnut, sesame, Tur, Moong, Urad, Kulthi, Ramtil, Kodo, Kutki and Rabi.
Objectives of Kisan Nyaya Yojana
The main objective of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyaya Yojana is to encourage farmers for crop production in the state.

To increase the net income of farmers by reimbursing the card cost of the crop.

Under rajiv gandhi kisan nyay yojana – RGKNY, the state government will provide exchange money to over 18 lakh farmers in the region which will be credited directly to farmers’ bank accounts through DBT.

Registration for the Scheme/ How to apply
All categories of farmers covered under the scheme will have to register within the stipulated time frame with necessary records and manifesto by filling in the information in the application form. Agriculture/crop acreage of land and crop area mentioned in the application The Department of Revenue will have to register with the Cooperative Society after verification from the plains.
Only those farmers who get their registration under the scheme will get the benefit of the scheme within the stipulated time frame. The time frame fixed by the State Government for registration under the Kisan Nyaya Yojana is as follows.
For Kharif Crops: 1st June to 30th September (Kharif for 2020)
For Sugarcane Crop Growers: Upto 30th September Every Year
The sugarcane crop growing farmers are required to register themselves in the cooperative sugar factory or departmental portal in their notified area by 30th September every year.
The acreage registered by the Rural Agriculture Extension Officer and Patwari will be arrested and verified. In case of discrepancy in the registered acreage, the actual acreage assessment tax input assistance sown by the farmer will be paid. The provisions of the Agricultural Land Ceiling Act may be taken care of while determining eligibility under the scheme.
Farmers who do not have Aadhaar number will be registered for the scheme by taking action to register aadhaar of such farmers.
Chhattisgarh Kisan Nyaya Yojana – Payment of Input Amount
The amount of input assistance @ per acre earmarked for crops covered under Kisan Nyaya Yojana will be paid through DBT in the farmers’ account in installments. If the paddy crop was planted by the beneficiary farmer last year and this year, instead of Paddy, the other crop covered under the scheme, additional input assistance per acre will be provided to the farmers.
The input assistance to be provided under the scheme will be determined by the Ministerial Committee every year. In case of error in the bank account details of the farmers, the process of transfer of funds will be ensured by the agriculture sub-operator by obtaining the bank details again within 15 days from the concerned farmer by correcting the error in the portal.
